Is your patient group looking to explore the world of video marketing? Are you worried you lack the funds, technical expertise or equipment to do so?
Well then, look no further! On Tuesday 25th August and Tuesday 1st September, we’ll be holding online training sessions focusing on how to create ‘talking head’ style videos using your own smart phone. Perfect for those on a budget!
The training will be delivered by videography and social media experts Jack Stevens (Cookie Cut Media) and Philip Saich (PostScript).
Session one: Tuesday 25th August, 11am - 12pm
Session one will provide an overview of video marketing and it’s benefits for rare disease patient groups. In particular, the session will focus on:
- Determining the goal and subject of your video
- Practical tips for ensuring high quality, audible and well-framed content
- Engaging with your audience
Following session one, attendees will be set a homework task to create their own short ‘talking head’ video.
Session two: Tuesday 1st September, 11am - 12pm OR 1:30pm - 2:30pm
Session two will focus on the distribution of video content and attendees will have an opportunity to discuss their filming experiences, ask questions, and even share their video projects with the group. In particular, the session will look at:
- How to make your video content accessible
- Top tips for making a viewer “click”
- Ensuring maximum reach of your video
To allow enough time for all attendees to take part in the discussion, the training on Tuesday 1st September will be delivered in two small-group sessions.
During registration for session one, attendees will be asked which of the two sessions on 1st September they wish to attend. Attendees will receive a follow up email confirming their chosen session.
